Clinton County, the area served by United Way, is home for almost 33,000 people.  Each year, 11,000 people - one in three - will have some kind of crisis, problem or need that impacts their life or the lives of family, friends or neighbors.  The need may be long-term or it may occur in a heartbeat.  Because of the caring support from thousands within our community, United Way is there to provide a helping hand....and hope.

A local voluntary charitable organization incorporated under the laws of Indiana. Our process brings together the participating agencies and contributors in one annual campaign to support human services within our community.

United Way for Clinton County is the answer to the unnecessary extra time and cost spent on separate fund raising campaigns. It's the most efficient, economical and effective method to raise and distribute money for the many local human care services.

Our board of directors sets all policies and makes all final decisions on agency funding. All of our board members and campaign helpers are volunteers. Our board represents a diverse group of volunteers from professionals, retail, industry, educators and farming. Each agency seeking United Way funds must apply to the board of directors. Their programs are reviewed for usefulness to the community. Each year, their finances are evaluated for need and fiscal responsibility.
