CCYT will hold fundraiser for production costs

The Clinton County Youth Theatre (CCYT) is partnering with LulaRoe retailer Marie Shaffer to raise funds for their summer musical, “The Wizard of Oz.” Marie Shaffer will sell her merchandise Saturday, April 28, from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. at the Frankfort Community Public Library.

LulaRoe is a clothing company with the tagline, “Where fashion meets comfort,” and the clothes are known for their bold patterns on super soft fabrics. If you can’t join us in person, items will be for sale online as well.

Please check the CCYT Facebook page for a link and directions for online ordering.

For this spring fundraiser, we have a goal to sell at least 75 clothing items. Money from the proceeds will go towards script fees, building materials and costumes. Directors Anthony and Natali Bacon are pulling out all of the stops on this production, which is happening.

Look forward to a glow-in-the-dark yellow brick road, elaborate costumes and lots of LED lighting. Please stop by and support the Clinton County Youth Theatre on April 28.

The Clinton County Youth Theatre is sponsored and supported throughout the community, and because of that support, we are able to put on high caliber shows for everyone to enjoy. The 2018 winter play, “Stuart Little,” had two sold out shows and two shows with more than 75 percent of the Skanta Theatre filled, not to mention an impressive set.

Thank you to everyone who supports and sponsors CCYT and the arts in Clinton County. We would not have been able to create a great show without our amazing community members.

Maggie Pinnick is teen services manager for the Frankfort Community Public Library.
