Rossville Lions serving strawberries Saturday

The Rossville Area Lions Club Strawberry Fest is set for Saturday, May 19, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Rossville Town Park. There will be Lions Ice Cream, strawberries and pound cake. Cost is $5 each.

Golf scramble is Saturday

Frankfort Commons Golf Course will be the venue for the 9th Annual Tee It Up “Fore” a Cure Spring Golf Scramble on Saturday, May 19. The course is located at 100 Golf Preserve Lane in TPA Park.

Registration starts at 7:30 a.m.; team meeting is at 8:15 a.m.; and shotgun start is at 8:30 a.m. This event is to raise funds for Relay for Life. For more information, contact Rene Howe at 317-445-8514 or Jon Adler at 815-278-3681.

Mulberry to host breakfast Saturday

The Town of Mulberry will host Breakfast in the Park from 7-10 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, in the Mulberry Shelter House, 631 Gasline Rd.

Strides for Stacy 5K Color Run is Saturday

The 5th Annual Strides for Stacy 5K Color Run will be held Saturday at the main entrance to Frankfort High School beginning at 9 a.m. rain or shine. Cost is $25 for adults and $15 for students. All proceeds benefit the Stacy Baugh Legacy Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships to FHS students who embody the late teacher’s vibrant spirit and enthusiasm for learning.

This Old Farm event is Saturday

This Old Farm, 9572 W. County Road 650 S., Colfax, is having a celebration for their local farm and artisan partners beginning at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

The company will unveil its new retail space with a fresh meat counter along with farmer and artisan sampling. They will have also old fashioned lawn games, a cash bar, live music, an animal butchery demo and a four course meal with complimentary drink ticket. Cost is $60.

Paw Pals Wag-a-Thon is Saturday

The Paw Pals Wag-A-Thon is scheduled for Saturday. This is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the animals served by the Clinton County Humane Society, located at 825 Issac Walton Dr. in the TPA Park in Frankfort. For more information, call 765-654-7717.

Mike Flowers is at Harry’s May 24

 The Frankfort Community Public Library is having an evening of free music at Harry’s Coffee Bar on Thursday, May 24, at 6 p.m. Mike Flowers will be performing in a Music Down Under feature. This is a family friendly, all ages, free event. Light refreshments available for purchase and donations will be accepted for musicians. Call 765-654-8746 or visit myfcpl.org.

Strawberry Fest is May 1

The Paul Phillippe Resource Center, 401 W. Walnut St., is hosting its 31st Annual Strawberry Festival on Friday, June 1, from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. There will be hot dogs, coney dogs, chips, drinks, strawberries (sugar free available), angel food cake and ice cream. Cost is $8 for adults and children 4 and under are $5.

There will be a 50/50 raffle, puzzles, bake sale and silent auction. If you need a ride, call 765-659-4060 to make a reservation. Delivery is available.

Parkview to celebrate 100 years June 16 

The Clinton County Parkview Home at 1501 Burlington Ave. will host a 100-year celebration on Saturday, June 16, from 1-4 p.m. Bring your blanket and chair for the picnic and open house planned. There will be free giveaways, a photo booth, free food (hog roast, hot dogs, hamburgers), music by a local band and games for kids and adults. Donations accepted to benefit residents.
