Mildred 'Louise' Hemmerling

Mildred “Louise” Hemmerling, 88, of Frankfort, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Mulberry Health.

She was born on Sept. 3, 1929, in Clinton County to Andrew Addison and Elsie Mable (Altic) Crum. She married John P. “Big John” Hemmerling in 1971 in Clinton County, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 1993.

She was a 1948 graduate of Little Jeff High School in Jefferson. She worked for PR Mallory for 26 years as a machine operator. She was a farm girl and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, music, playing cards and family acitivites.

She is survived by stepsons Andy Hemmerling of Florida and John Hemmerling of Georgia; several nieces and nephews; and more than 100 great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 7 brothers, Ralph Altic, Jack Crum, Fred and Orpha Crum, Pete and Berniece Crum, Gilbert Crum, Milton and Ruth Crum and James and Florence Crum; and three sisters, Grace and Reldo Freeman, Betty and Bob Scott, and Joan and Glen Albitz.

Friends may visit from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 E. Clinton St., Frankfort. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 17, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Louise’s honor to the American Heart Association with envelopes available at the funeral home.
