Events at the Mulberry Community Library

BY SUSIE BLACKMORE

There are several events going on this summer at the Mulberry Community Library. Here’s our lineup for June and July.

Discuss books with other community members at the monthly Mulberry Book Club meetings! On Thursday, June 21, at 7 p.m. we will discuss “The Other Alcott” by Elise Hooper (Leslie), and on Thursday, July 19, we will share ideas about “Sisters First” by Jena Bush Hager.

The Saturday Coloring Club is meeting on June 9 and 23 and July 14 and 28 at 10 a.m. Come to explore your creative side. We are working on a new project and are always looking for more people to color with us. Supplies are available at the Mulberry Library.

The Mulberry Ancestry Group meets on the third Tuesday of the month, June 19 and July 17.

Learn about your family history and look into your past. Contact Branch Supervisor Carol Schriefer-McClean at cschriefer@myfcpl.org or 765-296-2604 for more information.

Come and have fun with your fellow patrons at the library playing Euchre (laughter is a requirement for this group). We meet on the third Saturday of the month, June 16 and July 21 from 2-4 p.m.

Summer Reading starts June 1, and we have several programs scheduled for the children. School Age Special (for children in grades 1+) is on Tuesdays at 2 p.m. on June 5, 12, 19 and July 10, 17, and 24.

Story Time Art (for children ages 3–kindergarten) is Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m. on June 6, 13, 20. Story Time Music (also for children ages 3–kindergarten) is Fridays at 2 p.m. on June 8 and 15.

Children ages 18–36 months are welcome at Toddler Time, where they will have a snack, hear a story, and make a craft. Toddler Time is at 9:30 a.m., and Story Hour (for ages 3–kindergarten) is at 10:30 a.m. on July 13, 20 and 27. To register for events, contact the Mulberry Library at 765-296-2604 or register online at myfcpl.org/calendar.
