There's much to celebrate in Mulberry

TREES: The town of Mulberry is grateful to the Clinton County Community Foundation for its grant of $4,000 for new trees for Mulberry Park to replace trees lost to disease and weather.

The Mulberry United Methodist Church wants to make everyone aware of the town-wide garage sales through Sunday.

This weekend, Mulberry UMC is hosting activities to raise funds for its Haiti Clinic Phase 2 Project, which involves adding a laboratory to the clinic, according to Deb Schutz, a member of the Haiti project team.

In attendance will be Jesula Mardy, who supervises the clinic.

On Sunday, Mardy will share a little about Haiti and the clinic at both services, and there will be “Coffee Time with Jesula” between services in the Hope Classroom, Schutz detailed.

When people visit Mulberry, town leaders invite everyone to visit Mulberry Park to see the new trees purchased and planted with a grant of $4,000 from the Community Foundation of Clinton County.

“We are very grateful to the Community Foundation for the grant money as we had lost many trees in the park to disease and weather,” said Clerk-Treasurer Paula Bennett. “This is a great addition in order to maintain our park for future generations.”
