Staffords celebrate 50th anniversary Friday

Frank and Sharon (Ream) Stafford were married June 15, 1968, at the Colfax United Methodist Church. Frank is retired from Fairfield (Oerlikon), and Sharon worked at Mallory as well as being a homemaker.

They have a daughter, Dr. Lisa Stafford (Tom Adams) and a granddaughter, Samantha Adams, of Frankfort. They also have a son, Kevin Stafford.

There will be an open house at the Rossville Bible Fellowship Church on Sunday, July 8, from 3-5 p.m. to allow Sharon time to recover from her recent heart surgery.

Red Brick Theatre announces auditions

The Red Brick Theatre of Delphi will hold auditions for the comedy “Over the River and Through the Woods” June 18 and 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the Delphi Opera House, first floor.

There are parts for two older men and two older women (all stage age 70’s), and one man and one woman (both stage age 30’s).

Actors will be asked to read from the script.The show dates are August 17-19. The Delphi Opera House is at 109 S. Washington St. For more information, contact Doug Davis @dougster362@gmail.com.

FHS Class of 1956 meets

The Frankfort High School Class of 1956 held their monthly meeting Tuesday, May 8, at 6:30 p.m. at Bruno’s Pizza in Frankfort, and 25 classmates attended: Bob and Carolyn Ferguson, Marilyn Ferguson, Wilma Sellers, Bob and Katie Gray, Sally Roush and friend Dick Ham, Jim and Pam Bricker, Carolyn Wheeler, Phyllis Elkin, Beverly and Joe Avery, Pat Goff, Walt Wilson and brother, Wilburn Lucas, Jess Neff, Dick Mavity, Larry Montgomery, Howard Snodgrass, Pudge (Lanny) Kelly, Paul Brant, and Pat Linn.

The next meeting was held June 12, 6:30 p.m. at Southfork in Mulberry. Classmates of other years, spouses, and friends are welcome.

Frankfort City Auction is June 30

This year’s Frankfort City auction will be Saturday, June 30, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Frankfort Street Department, 905 Burlington Ave. People interested in what is available at the auction may preview items on Friday, June 29, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and beginning at 8 a.m. June 30, prior to the auction starting.

A sampling of items in the auction includes a 2010 Ford Crown Victoria with 99,167 miles, 2010 Ford Crown Victoria with 116,054 miles, 2008 Ford Crown Victoria with 131,552 miles, 1993 GMC S-10 truck, 2001 Dodge Ram truck, 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 truck, two 5,000-watt 120/240-volt Generac generators with 10 H.P. Tecumseh engines, 14-foot handmade equipment trailerm 1978 Ford 3,000-gallon water tanker (needs brake work), various City of Frankfort street signs, Echo chain saw and chain sharpener, O.T.C. diesel fuel injection nozzle tester, bicycles, tire rack, front blade from Champion C80 road grader and a tire cage (for airing up split rim wheels).
