COACH Kids orientation/training is Saturday

COACH Kids will hold a Mentor Orientation and Training session Saturday at 10 a.m. at their office at 554 W. Walnut St., Frankfort.

The program is a no-pressure opportunity for you to find out how you can make a positive difference in a local child’s life. Your commitment can be as little as 30 minutes per week with a child at their school or four hours a month in the community.

Rossville UMC Chicken Noodle Dinner is Aug. 25

As part of the Rossville Summer’s End Festival, the Rossville United Methodist Church will host its annual Chicken Noodle Dinner at the church at 110 W. Main St., Aug. 25 from 4-7 p.m.

Kirklin Christian to host Fish Fry

The Kirklin Christian Church Fish Fry will host an all you-can-eat Fish Fry on Saturday, Aug. 25, from 4-7 p.m. Join us for delicious, great food, homemade pies and other desserts and fellowship  

The Kirklin Christian Church is located at 302 E. Jefferson St., Kirklin - 2 blocks east of U.S. 421 on St. Rd. 38.

Proceeds will benefit the Evan Faucett Family and the Jaden Quick Family.

Ticket prices are $9 for adults; $4 for children 6-10 and free for children under 6.

Antioch’s AWANA program starts Sept. 9

The Antioch Church will launch its 2018 AWANA Children’s Program on Sunday, Sept. 9 from 6-7:30 p.m.

AWANA is an acronym for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” from II Timothy 2:15. Classes are divided into Cubbies - ages 3 through 5; Sparks - Kindergarten through second grades; and TNT (Truth in Training) - third through sixth grades.

AWANA will be held every Sunday night through May 6.

The Antioch Church is located at 4625 South State Road 39.
