Swimming sectionals next for Hot Dogs

Frankfort's boys swimming team finished its regular season in swimming on Wednesday losing to host (Lafayette) Harrison and Lafayette Central Catholic.

Harrison won the meet with 164 points, while LCC had 92 and Frankfort 61. The Hot Dogs got individual wins during the meet from Evan Jordan in the 50 freestyle (time of 22.63) and 100 butterfly (59.50), Tyler Harness in the 200 free (2:01.33) and Adam Haynes in the 100 breaststroke (1:12.77).

Other top finishers for Frankfort were Harness (second in the 500 freestyle), Sebastian Coddington (third in 1-meter diving), Antoni Lopez Veloz (fourth in the 100 butterfly and fifth in the 200 IM), Aizik Niccum (fourth in the 100 backstroke), Haynes (fifth in the 100 freestyle), Joel Sanchez (fifth in the 500 freestyle) and Jeven Chambers (fifth in the 100 breaststroke).

Personal bests were set by Lopez Veloz (dropping a second in the 200 IM), Haynes (a half second in the 50 free), Joshua Castillo (.10 seconds in the 100 freestyle) and Chambers (four seconds in the 100 breaststroke).

The Hot Dogs next compete at the Zionsville sectional with preliminaries starting Thursday and finals on Feb. 16.
