Bridge No. 46, which crosses the south fork of Wildcat Creek on W. Gas Line Road in Clinton County, should soon be named Leroy Good Bridge. The dedication of the bridge to Clinton County’s “Guardian of History” and WWII veteran and lifelong resident, Leroy Good, will likely be made official with the passing of a resolution by the Clinton County Commissioners during next Tuesday’s 9 a.m. meeting.

“Leroy has been a lifelong Clinton County resident, born here in 1920,” said Josh Uitts, president of the county commissioners. “To my knowledge, he has never lived more than a few miles from his birthplace. He has been a guardian of history here in Clinton County for as long as anyone can remember. So, we felt that it was an appropriate dedication to make due to his service to the people of Clinton County. Not only was he a guardian of history, but he was also a WWII veteran. We are looking forward to doing that at our next meeting, Tuesday, Dec. 7.”
