Clinton County residents will choose between five candidates running for three at-large seats on the county council when they go to the polls on Tuesday. All five had the chance to introduce their selves and answer questions from Kaspar Media’s Ken Hartman and The Times’ Aaron Kennedy ahead of Primary Election Day during Thursday evening’s candidate forum, which was moderated by the Chamber of Commerce’s Shan Sheridan and livestreamed by Hoosierland TV from the Iron Block Engagement and Innovation Hub in downtown Frankfort.

County Council incumbents Clark Beard, Mike Hensley and Jeff Chynoweth, and challengers Bechel “Frankie” Crew and Lewis Wheeler each had a couple minutes to make an introductory statement before answering questions on a range a topics – from how the novel coronavirus pandemic and its resulting crisis will affect the management of future budgets, to how to find ways to replace funds during a shortfall, what the county needs most, what is working in the county, and each candidate’s view on the topics of solar and wind energy.
