TPA Park can now be recognized by those who visit it as being listed in both the National Register of Historic Places and the Indiana Register of Historic Sites and Structures after receiving its plaque on recently. Those behind the effort to have the local park added to the state and national registries met at the City of Frankfort Parks Department office on Wednesday to officially present the plaque to Parks Superintendent Bart Kraning.

Marilyn Chittick and the rest of the Captain Harmon Aughe Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution along with city councilman Joe Palmer and former city councilman Jim Moyer sought to have TPA Park added to the state and national registries of historic places. Chittick sought the help of public historian Glory-June Grieff.
