Carolyn Sue Petre, 55, Michigantown, passed away at 3:40 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, 2019, at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born Sept. 13, 1964, in Anderson the daughter of Fred & Shirley (Eaden) Ridgeley. On March 15, 1981, she married Robert Petre who survives.
Carolyn worked for Crellin Plastic, as a waitress for Howard Johnson’s, and as a secretary for the Ag Co. Alliance. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, coloring, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Along with her husband Robert, Carolyn is also survived by her mother, Shirley Sue Alder of Scircleville; father, Fred (Phyllis) Ridgeley; her children, Robert John Petre of Michigantown and Natacha Petre of Chicago; grandchildren, Jayden Robert Petre, Keedyn Brian Petre and Olivia Petre Frye; siblings, Justin A. Alder of Scircleville, Brian Huckley of Anderson and Chris York of Anderson; mother-in-law, Helen Marie Petre of Frankfort; and her beloved dog, “Cooper.”
Carolyn was preceded in death by her second father, Charles “Bud” Alder.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main Street, Russiaville, with Pastor Dennis Woods officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery, Clinton County. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10-2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
