Delbert Lee 'Chan' Anderson Oct. 1, 1933 - Nov. 28, 2019

Delbert Lee “Chan” Anderson, 86, of rural Frankfort, died Nov. 28, 2019 at I.U. Health Arnett Hospital, Lafayette. He was born Oct. 1, 1933, in Siloam Springs, Ark. to Steve and Bertha (Buce) Anderson. He married Patsy Stidham on Oct. 16, 1958, in Jay, Okla., and she survives.

Delbert was a 1952 graduate of Colcord Oklahoma High School. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served from 1951-1955 in the Korean War. He was a minister and electrician, owning Anderson Electric in Silom Springs, Ark. and Ozark, Ark. Delbert was an ordained minister with the United Pentecostal Church International. He served as pastor in Huntsville, Ozark, and Alma, Ark. He retired from his electric business in 2008 and in 2011 retired from his church in Alma. He had lived in Silom Springs for 38 years, Ozark for 29 years, and in Alma for 13 years before moving to Frankfort in 2013. The church and his family were his life.

In addition to his wife, Patsy Anderson of rural Frankfort, Delbert was survived by his son, Donnie (Sandra) Anderson of Ozark, Ark.; two daughters, Teresa (Ronnie) Cupstid of San Antonio, Texas, and Cheryl (Danny) Lytle of rural Frankfort; sister, Ercille (Bill) Philpott of Gentry, Ark.; grandchildren, Stephanie (Patrick) Edwards of Boonville, Ark., Teronda (Terry) Wallace of San Antonio, Texas, and Aiden & Brantley Lytle of rural Frankfort; and step-grandchildren, Misty (Brent) Sampley of Ozark, Ark., and Dee (Jackie) Crowley of Holiday Island, Ark. Nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, three sisters and a grandson, Steven Cole Anderson.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019 at Christian Life Church 2501 E. Wabash St. Frankfort. Funeral Celebration will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, at the church.
