Paul Jeffrey Lambert, 76, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away Friday, May 29, 2020.

Jeff was the seventh of nine children born to Mont Carr and Mary Etta (Laymon) Lambert in Middlesboro, Kentucky on Dec. 25, 1943. He lived most of his life in Indiana before moving to Alabama in 2017.

Growing up, Jeff participated in Cross Country, Basketball, Prairie Singers and graduated from Clinton Prairie High School. He proudly served in the Army from 1965-1967.

Jeff married the love of his life, Barbara Rutherford, on Feb. 22, 1969. They were married 51 years.

Jeff was employed with Rostone Corporation in Lafayette for 32 years. He worked for Allison Transmission in Indianapolis and retired from Carrier in 2011.

He always enjoyed singing at church and nursing homes, golfing, bowling, fishing, Purdue Basketball and, most of all, spending time with his family.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Barbara Lambert of Huntsville, Alabama; daughter, Angela (Tim) Riemann of Nolensville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Bella, Brock and Max; son, Joshua Lambert (fiancé, Melissa Gallandar and children Natalie and Riley) of Huntsville, Alabama; sisters, Georgia Bolton of Indianapolis, Barbara (Jim) Hammel of Sellersburg, Jackie (Randy) Cragun of Frankfort, and Linda (Brian) Wickes of Alma, Michigan; brother-in-Law, Ben (Karen) Rice of Albany, Georgia; sisters-in-law, Joyce Lambert of Lafayette and Edna Lambert of Middlesboro, Kentucky; and lots of nieces and nephews.

Awaiting Jeff in heaven were his father and mother; granddaughter, Eleanor Riemann; sisters, Bonnie Rice and Margaret Vail; brothers, GW (Buster) Lambert and Tom Lambert; brother-in-law, Sonny Bolton; and niece, Denise Lambert.

A Memorial Service was held at Wallace Chapel, Christ Church in Nashville, on June 16, 2020, followed by Graveside Military Service at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.

Jeff was a blessing to his family and all who knew him. He always had a twinkle in his eyes, a smile on his face, and laughter in his heart. Everyone loved him so much!
