William “Bill” Creasy passed away Jan. 3 with his nephew Josh Creasy at his side. Bill was born April 10,1938 in Westmoreland Tennessee to Herman & Ramona Creasy. He was married to Marion (Pauline), and she survives. Bill worked at selling cars, running service stations and retired from Ben Davis High School. Bill enjoyed mission trips to Honduras with his son Victor. Bill made friends wherever he traveled. He was quite the jokester and loved making people smile. Bill always traveled with his rubber rat to scare people and to get their reaction, especially the ladies.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents; a wife, Ruth; a sister, Frankie; and brothers, Jerry and Ronnie.
He is survived by two daughters, Rachelle (Jeff) Felty of Michigan and Cindy (David) Dempsey of Georgia; a son, Victor (Trisha) Creasy of Tennessee; a stepdaughter, Cathy Mattix of Indianapolis; two stepsons, Vince (Cheri) Mattix and John (Susan) Mattix, both of Indianapolis; six grandkids and five great-grandkids; two sisters, Barb (Chuck) Black of Peru and Brenda Avery (Jim Bartley) of Frankfort; brothers, Joe (Kathy) of Florida, Ray (Dianna) of Tipton, Don (Deb) of Florida and Paul (Tracy) of Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life is being planned for a later date. The family would like to send heartfelt ‘thank you’ to Josh Creasy for being at Bill’s bedside at the time of his passing, to his neighbor, Dawn Archer, for all the love and kindness and special care of Bill in his last days, and to his stepson, Vince, for all he had done for Bill.
