The Clinton Central boys golf team shot a season-low 396 to win the Hoosier Heartland Conference title on Saturday at Deer Track Golf Course. It is the first conference championship by the Bulldogs boys golf team since 1992.

Kyle Pickard shot a personal best with a 91 to lead the Bulldogs and finish with the third-best individual score while Mike Harness shot a 95, Logan Whiteman carded a 97 and Fife Deck came in at 113.

“The team has been playing well when it counts this year,” head coach Kimbery Deck said. “We definitely have had our shares of individual players having off nights. However, the team has been fortunate to have the Top 5 all playing well at the bigger matches this season.

The Clinton Prairie Gophers finished as conference runners-up after recording a team score of 417.

Logan McDonald led the Gophers with a 91 and finished second as an individual. Wes Whitlock shot a 101 for Clinton Prairie while Noah Townsend came in at 111, and Evan Marty carded a 114.

Rossville made it a 1-2-3 sweep for Clinton County after finishing at 418 for third place in the HHC Tournament.

Kolten Harshbarger shot a 92 (5th) to lead the Hornets followed by Evan Lawson at 96 (8th), Gavin Elston at 108 and Jaden Del Real at 122.
