Clinton Prairie and host Rossville put on quite a matinee in boys basketball Saturday with the Gophers escaping with a 53-49 win in double overtime that gives them at least a share of the Hoosier Heartland Conference championship.

The game featured a 1:30 p.m. start after poor weather canceled it on Thursday and like any good matinee show it had bitter rivals fighting hard, a hero coming through after struggling early as Prairie’s Grant McGraw hit two late 3s in crunch time and a big twist as Rossville’s Dirk Shaw hit a three-quarter-court shot to force the first overtime at 44-44.
