In a Sagamore Conference rematch of a lopsided Tri-West Bruins victory in early December, the Frankfort Hot Dogs put together their most complete game of the season to beat the Bruins, 96-75, in the opening round of the Class 3A Sectional 25 at Case Arena in Frankfort.

From the tip, Frankfort moved the ball well offensively and looked sharp early with baskets from Freshman Jayce Strode and a 3-point basket from Senior Arod Sandoval to jump out to a 7-4 lead with 4:23 left in the first quarter. The Hot Dog offense was in full gear as they pushed the lead to 17-6 with a Riley Goodnight 3-pointer followed by a defensive stop that led to another Strode basket and a 19-6 lead forcing a Bruin time out. A change in defense by Tri-West led to the same result as Frankfort put together solid possessions leading to open scores ending the first quarter with the lead 26-11.
