A sluggish start to the third quarter allowed Monrovia to open the game up and go on to defeat the Frankfort girls basketball team, 52-37, in the opening round of the Class 3A Sectional 25 at Lizton.
The Hot Dogs struggled in the game at times to find some flow in the offense. Turnovers and missed opportunities were the story in the two quarters where Monrovia took advantage. Some solid defense that should have led to some easy baskets was just not there for the Dogs Tuesday night.
