Playing host to the 61st Annual Clinton Central Holiday Tournament, the Clinton Central boys basketball team opened tourney play with a loss to the Tri-Central Trojans, 65-58. A slow start gave the Bulldogs an uphill battle throughout the evening as they gave up 45 second-half points to fall in the first round.
Bulldogs head coach Whit Keadle believed that his team achieved their initial defensive goal going into the game, but it was the supporting Trojan cast that ultimately gave Clinton Central the most challenge.
